A $10,000 gift will enable Food Finders Food Bank to continue a program that helps feed area senior citizens.
St. Anthony Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lafayette is making the donation in celebration of its 10,000th client and its silver anniversary.
The money will go toward Food Finders senior grocery program, which provides a bag of nonperishable groceries each month to 448 seniors in Tippecanoe, Miami, Jasper and Pulaski counties.
The effort started a year ago with a one-time $50,000 donation from AARP.
The money from St. Anthony’s will help keep the program going for now.
