The WBAA Classical 101.3 and WBAA News 105.9 tower will be undergoing major work starting on March 7th to enhance and strengthen the tower. The work is expected to continue until approximately March 30th. Most of the work will be done while the stations are at full power, but there will be times where we will need to reduce power or be off the air so that crews can work safely. We thank you for your patience while this work is completed. You can still listen to WBAA Classical and WBAA News online or via the WBAA mobile app.

Purdue partners with LSC to promote STEM education

Purdue is partnering with the Lafayette School Corporation to help teachers meet the learning needs of students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses.

A $246,000 grant from the Indiana Department of Education Math Science Partnership will provide professional development and content learning for teachers and a summer STEM experience for students.

Help from Purdue’s Science Express, which delivers research-grade instruments to high schools, will allow teachers to incorporate analytical technologies in the classroom and advance the technical ability of their students.

Throughout the school year, teachers will participate in additional development consisting of lesson planning, classroom observations and technology training.
