Due to the prospect of rain in the forecast for Saturday, Purdue officials have decided to postpone the school's annual go-kart race, Grand Prix, for 24 hours. The school issued this notice Friday afternoon about the schedule change:

The 58th annual Purdue Grand Prix, scheduled for Saturday (April 25) has been postponed until Sunday (April 26) due to the weather forecast of rain being likely throughout the day on Saturday.

The race has been rescheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday (April 26) at the Grand Prix track, near the corner of McCormick Road and Cherry Lane. Practice will begin at 10 a.m., with heat races following.

Free shuttle service will be available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with pick-up locations at Ross-Ade Stadium, Stewart Center and Wiley Dining Hall. The area immediately around the track is designated solely for handicap parking.
