The WBAA Classical 101.3 and WBAA News 105.9 tower will be undergoing major work starting on March 7th to enhance and strengthen the tower. The work is expected to continue until approximately March 30th. Most of the work will be done while the stations are at full power, but there will be times where we will need to reduce power or be off the air so that crews can work safely. We thank you for your patience while this work is completed. You can still listen to WBAA Classical and WBAA News online or via the WBAA mobile app.

New Release: And After The Fire

Harper Collins

It’s recommended summer reading from WQXR, in this year's Summer Reads For Music Lovers, and the New York Times recently interviewed Lauren Belfer about And After The Fire along with her husband, who has a new book, Bach & God.

Belfer’s novel is inspired by historical events, and features two women: one European and one American, with the mysterious choral masterpiece by Johann Sebastian Bach that changes both their lives.

Music Director John Clare recently spoke with Belfer about her new novel. The two talked about mixing mystery and music, the beauty of Bach, and how titles come about.

Belfer's website has an excerpt you can read from And After The Fire, plus links to music mentioned in the novel! Listen Friday mornings for book reviews with Nick Schenkel on WBAA and WBAA.org.
