The WBAA Classical 101.3 and WBAA News 105.9 tower will be undergoing major work starting on March 7th to enhance and strengthen the tower. The work is expected to continue until approximately March 30th. Most of the work will be done while the stations are at full power, but there will be times where we will need to reduce power or be off the air so that crews can work safely. We thank you for your patience while this work is completed. You can still listen to WBAA Classical and WBAA News online or via the WBAA mobile app.

Hunger Hike 5K set for this weekend

A fundraising event this weekend is moving to higher ground.

The Hunger Hike 5K has been moved to Munger Park in Lafayette due to flooding along the Wabash Heritage Trail.

The event benefits the Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders Food Bank, and the St. Thomas Aquinas Haiti Ministry.

LUM executive director Joe Micon says for the past few years, the 5K was part of the annual Hunger Hike in September.

But he says it made more sense to develop it into a separate event.

The race begins at nine o’clock Saturday morning.

More information is on the Lafayette Urban Ministry website.
