Energy Forum is Purdue Institute for Civic Communication's inaugural event

The Purdue Institute for Civic Communication (PICC) is hosting its first forum Friday, September 13. The focus is on energy and includes a debate on the topic of clean energy versus fossil fuels.

The event is free and open to the public, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in Stewart Center's Loeb Hall. It will be live streamed at HERE.

In addition to the debate, the forum includes Purdue faculty discussing cutting-edge energy research and commercialization prospects. Leah Jamieson, dean of Engineering, will lead the panel, which also will feature Maureen McCann, director of Purdue's Energy Center and professor of biological sciences; Wally Tyner, the James and Lois Ackerman Professor of Agricultural Economics and member of the Center for Research and Energy Systems; and James Braun, Herrick Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
