This week's book highlights the unique geography of these United States. He drives from coast to coast, noting different things about each part he goes through. Kaplan notes Purdue, among other universities in the modern Midwest and their impact on the Midwest. He talks about the Mormons culture, as he moves towards Utah and the West.
