Even though the average American student racks up $35,000 in college loan debt, the vast majority believe it’s worth it.

That’s the key finding among the 30,000 college grads polled in this year’s Gallup-Purdue Index.

More than three of every four grads agree or strongly agree their college’s cost did not outstrip the value of a diploma later in life.

Brandon Busteed, who lead’s Gallup’s education polling, says he’s surprised only 50-percent strongly agree with that.

Coaches, athletes and even athletic directors talk a lot about focus in relation to sports. But when a team is on the verge of qualifying for the NCAA tournament, there's a lot to focus on.

For instance: how does the athletic department prepare for the flurry of activity necessary to get a team to and from a postseason game, into its hotel, etc?

At least one West Lafayette textbook retailer says he’s not happy with Wednesday’s announcement of an agreement between Purdue University and Amazon.com.

Tom Frey runs University Bookstore, which sits across the street from the Purdue Memorial Union, but isn’t the school’s official textbook retailer. In the spring, Amazon will open a physical storefront in the Union.

Frey says it’s the latest salvo in an ongoing battle between the internet company and the National Association of College Stores, of which he’s a member.
