Webster recognized for punting
By Sam Klemet
For the second week in a row, a Purdue football player is honored by the Big Ten.
Punter Cody Webster was named the conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Notre Dame.
He punted seven times and placed six of his kicks inside the Irish 20 yard line. He averaged more than 43-yards-per punt.
Last week, cornerback Frankie Williams was named the conference’s Freshman of the Week.
Purdue is 1-1 on the year and hosts winless Eastern Michigan, Saturday.
