Boilermaker fans and alumni are excited about a new brew, and there's a new place that it can be enjoyed. Boiler Gold debuted at the opening Purdue football game in September 2017, and is now available exclusively in Ross-Ade Stadium, and the newly renovated 1869 Tap Room. WBAA's John Clare spoke to Purdue's Brian Farkas, Bryan Gutridge, and Shannen Jordan to get the scoop.

Proceeds of Boiler Gold benefit Purdue's agricultural research, including hops and fermentation sciences research.  The new beer is supposed to be on shelves at Indiana and Chicago-area retailers in time for the holidays. 1869 Tap Room is open Monday through Saturday from 4 to 9pm during the academic year. They will be open for special events, and are slated to coincide with Purdue Convocation events.
