Purdue's Short named preseason All-American
Sports Illustrated anticipates a Purdue football player will be one of the best in the nation this year.
The magazine named Kawann Short to its preseason First Team All-American roster.
The senior is the only defensive player from the Big Ten to make the first team list.
Last year, he recorded 54 tackles and 6.5-sacks.
The recognition adds to Short's list of preseason honors for the Purdue senior.
He also is on the watch list for the Lombardi Award, Lott Trophy, The Bednarik Award, The Outland Trophy and the Nagurski Trophy.
Short and the Boilermakers start play at home September 1st again Eastern Kentucky.
