Purdue engineering effort honored

Oct 30, 2012

Purdue is a partner on a project that is receiving national and international recognition.

The university and Indiana’s Department of Transportation worked together on an effort to recoup funds after state infrastructure was damaged in vehicle accidents.

The state brought in nearly $4-million as a result.

Next month, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials will give IN-DOT its President’s Award for Performance Excellence for its cost saving project.
