Pop Culture Advent Calendar, Day 6: See David Schwimmer Say 'Juice' A Tremendous Lot

Once a day, until Dec. 25, we'll be highlighting a specific small, good thing that happened in popular culture this year. And we do mean small: a moment or image from a film or TV show, a panel from a comic, a brief exchange from a podcast, or a passage from a book.

The FX series The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story raked in the awards and accolades earlier this year, thanks in no small measure to standout performances from Sterling K. Brown, Sarah Paulson, Courtney B. Vance, and John Travolta's eyebrow-wigs.

David Schwimmer's hangdog Robert Kardashian received less praise from the critical establishment, but came to be embraced by viewers for the pitched and profound degree of moroseness with which he imbued his performance. His was the very saddest of sacks.

Nowhere was this more evident than in the spin Schwimmer put on Kardashian's delivery of his friend's nickname — by turns imploring, exasperated, horrified, and wounded. Sometimes all at once. It was a thing to see.

So here. See it. See all of them, in fact. And maybe offer up a silent thanks to the internet, a vast and lawless place teeming with such high weirdness.
