Pence names ISDA and FSSA directors

A Clinton County resident is the new director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. Gina Sheets takes over the position in the new Pence administration.

She has worked in the department since 2009, serving as its director of economic development and international trade. Prior to that, Sheets was the C.E.O. of the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

She and her husband own a farm outside of Frankfort where they raise livestock, rainbow trout, and produce.

Debra Minott will serve as Secretary of the Family and Social Services Administration. The Carmel resident most recently served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Hill-Rom, a medical device manufacturer in Batesville. There, she managed healthcare regulatory and employment legal matters.

With 30 years of legal experience, Minott has served in a variety of roles including Human Resources Director at CarDon & Associates, Inc., Indiana State Personnel Director, Chief Governance Officer and Corporate Secretary of Guidant Corporation, Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Essex International Inc., and Senior Counsel at Eli Lilly and Company.
