Inspired Fire Open House 6/16 Preview

Lucio Bubacco is an artist from Venice, Italy who will be featured at Inspired Fire Studio and Gallery this weekend. There are two open houses on Thursday June 16, 4:00 - 6:00pm and Friday June 17, 6:00 - 8:00pm.

Sharon Owens joined Lucio in the WBAA studios to discuss his visit with Music Director John Clare.

Known for his figural work, Bubacco came straight from Corning Glass in New York where he was teaching and demonstrating for the Glass Art Society annual conference. Inspired Fire has added a brand new "Hot Shop" - it may be the only place in Indiana to offer flameworking, fusing, cold casting , furnace work and hot casting.

John Nasukaluk Clare is comfortable behind a microphone, streaming video or playing violin. A former broadcaster for NPR, John has previously worked with Voice of America, the Canadian Broadcast Corporation and stations in Texas, Kansas, Nevada, California, and Pennsylvania. In 2005, Clare earned the Deems Taylor Award from ASCAP for radio broadcasting, citing his work on 20/20 Hearing. Having performed with famed tenors Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli, John has worked with the Mozart Festival Texas, Mid Texas Symphony, Nevada Chamber Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic and Wichita Symphony Orchestra.
