INSIDE OUT project comes to Greater Lafayette

One of the largest public art exhibits in Greater Lafayette’s history is currently on display.

The INSIDE OUT project features 86 poster-size photos of local artists that are hanging in the windows of businesses on the Purdue Campus, through the Levee in West Lafayette, on to Main Street in downtown Lafayette.

Purdue Art & Design Senior Photography Class lecturer Lynn Lee says the theme is “Discovering the Artists Among Us” to showcase the diversity and impact of local arts and organizations.

The local display is part of the world-wide INSIDE OUT Project, inspired by TED-winning French artist, J-R, who challenged communities around the world to use black-and-white photographic portraits to discover and share the untold stories and images of their residents.
