Coffee roasting company seeking tax abatements to relocate to Tippecanoe County

An Indianapolis-based company is relocating to Lafayette.

Copper Moon Coffee will be moving its operations to a ten-acre property on Veterans Memorial Parkway East, near the IU Health Arnett Hospital.

The Tippecanoe County Council has given initial approval to designate an Economic Revitalization Area, which makes applying for tax abatements possible.

Copper Moon is requesting a $500,000 ten-year abatement on real estate and an $800,000 seven-year abatement on manufacturing equipment.

Council members approved the tax breaks on the first vote.

They are set to take a final vote at their October 9th meeting.
