The Claudettes Preview 8/26

http://johnnyiguana.com

The Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival is Lafayette’s last summer festival of the year. There is "cool jazz, smoking hot blues, and the smell of barbecue" as festival goers meet at the Historic Fifth Street Market District.

UJBF was established in 2005, and has become one of the premier music festivals in Indiana. It incorporates local, regional and national touring acts - literally setting the stage for a unique community gathering. Local brews and eateries add to the "evening’s hip, upscale vibe."

This year's schedule includes: Jason Wells Band with Gibson Wells, Naughty Professor, Liquid Soul, Tuxedo Junction, The Michael Kelsey Band, Tizer Quartet featuring Eric Marienthal, Caitlin Cotten Combo, Brent Laidler & the Dream Team, and The Claudettes.

Music Director John Clare spoke with Johnny Iguana, leader of The Claudettes, about their upcoming performances at The Spot, and for the UJBF.

There's more about The Claudettes here, and about the Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival here.
