WBAA’s classical service is seeking a Music Director who can thrill our audience on the radio and through other digital platforms with an engaging on-air presence, insightful interviewing and top-notch production.
The first half of your day will be spent on the air hosting Morning Classics, and the second half developing playlists, overseeing and expanding our classical music library, maintaining relationships with classical music record labels, conducting interviews, and producing arts-related features.

We’re looking for someone with hosting experience who has a conversational and natural authority on the air, and conducts interviews with both curiosity and a sense of humor.

Morning Edition Host and Reporter
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of experience as a news producer/reporter, feature producer and interviewer.
- Ability to use standard broadcast audio equipment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interviewing skills.
- General radio announcing/hosting skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or Communications or related area.
- Experience broadcasting in NPR/public radio style.
- Some weekend and evening work is required for this position.
- Some travel is required for this position.
- A background check will be required for employment in this position.
- FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime)
- Retirement Eligibility: Defined Contribution Waiting Period.
