Work from two recent series will be included: The World is 9 and The Memory of Hope. Born in Ethiopia in 1974, Aïda Muluneh grew up in Ethiopia, Yemen, England, and Canada. She holds a degree in film from Howard University. In addition to her work as an exhibiting artist, Muluneh continues her work as a photojournalist and commercial photographer; her work can be found in several international publications. Muluneh will be giving a talk on her work at 3PM on Fri., Mar. 23, in Matthews Hall room 210. She will also be attending the exhibit’s closing reception at 5:30PM on Fri., Mar. 23, in Fountain Gallery. Fountain Gallery is located at 330 Main St., Lafayette.
