For the past several years, Eric Rhoades, Publisher of PleinAir Magazine, has hosted a Paint Out in the Adirondack Mountains. This seven-day event is held during the latter part of June each year, and is limited to about one hundred artists from around the country. There is no competition; no pressure to sell paintings, and collectors are not invited. It is an opportunity for artists to be inspired and to create fine works of art. Artists stay in dormitories at Paul Smith College where they eat meals in the cafeteria, and enjoy the camaraderie developed by mutual interest and talent. The days are filled with artists in various sized groups immersed and surrounded by the beauty of the Adirondacks. Ron Burgess and Rick Wilson created the paintings for this exhibition during this event in 2015. They are friends and fellow artists who hope to bring you a sense of the incredible beauty of the Adirondack Allure.
